General Information - THIS applies to every cat
Every cat is:
✅ Neutered
✅ Microchipped
✅ Vaccinated
✅ Regularly treated for fleas and worms
✅ Litter trained
🏠 An indoor-only house cat

All our cats must remain house cats. A secure catio or properly cat-proofed garden is perfectly acceptable.
🔒 Keeping them safe
Windows and doors must be kept securely closed or locked. Cats cannot open properly secured windows or locked doors, so there is no reason for them to escape from a safely managed home.
🐕 Dogs
Most of our cats have never lived with—or been tested around—dogs. Please check the individual cat’s description for any known exceptions.
🐈 Other cats
Most should be able to live with another cat, although some may prefer—or be perfectly happy—to live as the only cat.
👧 Children
Our cats are generally unsuitable for homes with small or young children. Older, sensible children may be considered, provided they understand and respect the cat’s boundaries.

We firmly believe an over crowded house is NOT beneficial to the wellbeing of your cats so we have a rule of 3 cats is enough. Adding more and more cats to an already overcrowded situation can lead to behavioural problems such as inappropriate toileting, fighting, over grooming, aggression.

All our cats are health checked by our vets and come with four weeks’ free Petplan cat insurance. Veterinary records are provided to their new owners.
Every cat has a story, and we will share as much of their history as we know, including any known health or behavioural issues. We believe in being open and honest — nothing invented and nothing deliberately left out. Warts and all!
We currently ask for a minimum adoption donation of £150 per cat. This contributes towards the care and veterinary treatment they receive while with us, although the actual cost is invariably much higher.
As veterinary and other essential costs continue to rise, we may need to review this amount. We will always confirm the adoption donation before you commit.

We prefer non-smoking homes 🚭 to help protect our cats from exposure to tobacco smoke.
Before adopting, please think carefully about whether you can comfortably afford a cat’s lifelong care. Alongside food, litter and routine veterinary treatment, you will need a plan for unexpected vet bills and emergency care. We know circumstances can change, but financial difficulties are sadly one reason much-loved pets lose their homes.
Please also consider the cat’s age alongside your own circumstances and future plans. Cats can live for 15–20 years, sometimes longer, so adopting a kitten could mean a commitment of two decades.
Our aim is to find homes that can offer stability for the rest of each cat’s life. Losing an owner or having to leave when they move into care can be deeply unsettling for a settled cat. If you are approaching retirement or are older, please consider whether an adult or older cat would be a more suitable companion than a kitten.
Whatever your age, it is sensible to have a plan for who would care for your cat if you were no longer able to.

All our cats live in private foster homes, so visits are strictly by appointment. We do not have a cattery or public premises.
Before arranging a visit, we ask you to read our adoption information and complete a questionnaire. This helps us understand your home and circumstances, answer questions early and find a suitable match for both you and the cat. Please use the Contact Us section of this website to request the documents.
If the visit goes well and everyone is happy to proceed, we will arrange to deliver the cat to your home. We always deliver our cats ourselves, allowing us to complete a home check as part of the adoption process.
Adopting from us means becoming part of our rescue community. We ask you to keep in touch throughout your cat’s life, with regular updates while they settle in and at least annually after that. Our private Facebook group offers a friendly network of fellow adopters, and we remain available for advice and support.
Our commitment to every cat is lifelong. If an adoption does not work out, or your circumstances change, we will always take the cat back. That reassurance is there when needed, but we ask everyone to adopt with the intention of providing a home for life.
Finally, please keep us informed if you change your mind or decide not to proceed. We are a small volunteer team, and every enquiry takes time away from caring for the cats. A brief reply is all we ask — we would much rather hear “no thank you” than hear nothing at all.
