Edith is a lovely girl who is fairly friendly once she knows you. She was living in a large food distribution warehouse and was well fed by warehouse employees. Her and Elmo were brought into rescue as they were reasonably friendly unlike the feral colony at that site.
We were told their approximate date of birth and have gone with that however I think she may well be Elmo's mum and not his sister.
She still gets on well with him and for anyone wanting a pair of cats they will suit you fine but she can also go as an only cat.
Although she lives in a multi cat household at present she is a bit of a loner and will often be found asleep on a cat tree or cat bed on her own.

Elletwo (or L2) is a potential project for anyone wanting a bit of a challenge. She is very much her own boss and can be a handful. Although she arrived in rescue with her siblings on the day she was born, because her mum was extremely feral, we struggled to get near the kittens for weeks which gave time for their mum to install a natural wariness of humans into her psyche.
As she has now matured into an adult, I have noticed a slight softening of her attitude towards us but remains wary and avoids all human touch, only coming very close at mealtimes when I do always try for a quick glancing stroke.
I do believe over time and with someone who has the time and patience to take her on, she will settle into a nice cat and household pet. She may never be a lap cat but other ferals have surprised us in the past by becoming one so never says never.
However being realistic, finding her a home will be very tough and she will likely go on to live here for many years unless someone wants to give a hard to home cat a go.

She may be able to live with another cat. 🐈🐈⬛ but be warned, she is not shy and retiring and will stick up for herself. If she goes as an only cat she will take a while anyway to settle in but a new owner will have to work with her on this to get her better settled in.
Unsuitable for a home with small/young children - older ones should be fine as long as they respect her boundaries.

Elmo is a bit of a character and a cheeky boy. He does love to play but can get a bit naughty and have his claws out or give you a nibble. This is a classic sign he was not told off enough by his mother as he was growing up and so does not understand us humans are not cats and so teeth and claws (no matter how playful he is being) are unacceptable. But in the right home with a bit of training I am sure he will make a great pet.
He is very affectionate and enjoys a stroke and a fuss. But do not over stimulate him as again, his claws and teeth appear (all in play)
He does play with other cats as well but now he is an adult he can also be happy doing his own thing and so could live as an only cat. Born feral he may be a bit scared of strangers when they visit but he does come round fairly quickly.

She was born feral so has a naturally timid personality but now she has been spayed she is far more approachable and I know in the right home she will be a lovely little pet. Of course she will naturally hide from strangers if they come to meet her but as long as you realise this and are prepared to win her over then she will do just fine.
She is very used to living with all the other cats here and has never lived alone so accepts a multi cat household. She could be fine on her own but you would need to give her a lot more time to adjust.
Once she knows you she can be quite a cheeky girl, grabbing your arm as you walk past her when she is at your arm level on a cat tree or bench!

Moose is a character. Acts all scaredty when strangers visit but is the most chatty talkative cat when around us. Loves to play. Can get a little too boisterous at times and for that reason he MAY eventually settle well as an only cat. He is like a bull in a china shop at times and not the most agile and delicate of cats. But he is lovable and will be an excellent family pet for someone. Probably small children will be too much for him but older ones will be fine.

Naomi is an odd one. She is actually a very friendly girl but gets fairly scared of strangers when they visit. But because I know she is friendly, hopefully given enough time to settle into a new home and of course a lot of patience on the part of a new owner then she will settle to be a very loving companion indeed.
Although she came to us as a heavily pregnant stray, she was essentially a bit of a gymslip mum and so is now able to live her life properly without having to worry about finding enough food to care for her kittens.
She can be very playful and zooms around the house on a night time are not unheard of. She does have chase games with her two kittens (now both adults) and so although she could be an only cat, she could also live with one or both of them.
Be warned, she can open doors by jumping up and pulling the handle down so preferably a home where the owner is sensible enough to keep doors to the outside world locked.

Nessy came to us as a feral mum of 4 very young kittens. However slowly but surely she has become far more friendly and will make a lovely pet in the right home.
Be warned though, she is going to be scared and nervous of strangers so you have to look past that if you meet her.
She can be playful when she is relaxed enough but her feral start in life means she remains wary too. She will need good patient calm owners to get her to her full potential. I believe she will come good, lets just see if someone gives her a chance.

She is a very nervous scaredy girl considering she has been born in captivity. This can happen sometimes in litters of kittens. But it does not mean they will always be like that and in the right home, with the right people she will come round very well indeed. But it will take time and patience to earn her trust. Once that is earned, the reward will undoubtably be a very loving girl.
She can be playful and does play with her toys when she thinks nobody is watching her.
may be ok as an only cat in a calm home but could live with her sister Nutella or her mum Naomi.

RUSS, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his stature. Born feral, Russ has transformed into a tall, striking fellow with an endearing charm that's bound to captivate those willing to give him a chance. As the lankiest cat you'll ever come across, his unique physique adds an extra touch of distinction to his already remarkable presence. BUT he is still timid with strangers.
While he may still approach new experiences with some trepidation, Russ has made incredible progress and now eagerly embraces the joy of playtime and affection. His love for being stroked is undeniable, but be prepared for his endearing excitement, as he may express his gratitude by affectionately hugging your arm. Witnessing his adorable uncertainty afterward is nothing short of heartwarming and is sure to bring a smile to your face.
Though somewhat nervous around new people, Russ's sociable nature shines through, especially in the company of a female cat or kitten. The potential for a companionship with a feline friend offers him a sense of comfort and security, enriching his life and adding to the joy he brings to others.
Fact is Russ is still a scaredy cat who will need patience and time to settle but in the right home he will shine. He will need to live with a companion cat either with one of his friends here or if you already have a nice gentle soul willing to be his friend.

Born feral he is really quite a softy once he knows you. But he sometimes likes to hang with the feral guys here meaning he is picking up on their fears.
He is like lightening so I have to quick to catch a stroke from him and he will prefer to run away.
However do not let that put you off as he is good pals with a number of other black cats here and is also cheeky in coming close enough to try and grab food before others get it.
He was a bit more friendly as a youngster but lost some of that as he matured. He is gradually improving again and getting more friendly but that has taken him a while so I would expect if he went to a new home, the same thing could happen again. But, I am certain in the right hime he will be a big soft lad once again. He had a dental in 2024 as at his annual booster appointment we were told he needed one, however once he was under anaesthetic all he needed was a scale and polish and there was nothing wrong with his teeth at all.

Aged roughly 1 yr to 18mths max

This little lady was discovered with her 3 very young kittens in a cold outhouse during a very cold (temps below zero) last year.
It quickly became apparent she was not a feral cat and yet either did not feel comfortable enough in her own home to have her kittens there or had been abandoned and left unneutered to her own devices.
I can’t say that her owners were responsible whatever her story because even if edge had escaped, she should have been neutered around 4-5 months so thus would not have happened.
Anyway thanks to lovely people contacting us, we got her and her babies safe. They are now weaned and thriving and so she can go her own way in the world now.
She was recently spayed and had her 1st vaccine. Her second vac is due 19th Feb so is available for adoption after that date (unless a new owner takes her for her vac themselves - at our expense of course)
She is very friendly with people but does dislike other cats from what we can see so far. This may be due to her having to protect her kittens from marauding tom cats or because she suffered a bad time from several tom cats when in heat and being mated. It’s no dinner date if several cats are lining up for their “turn” at her while her hormones simply tell her to succumb to the act of sex. Did you know a tom cat has a barbed penis meaning sex is very painful and it’s why the females scream.
If that snippet of info does not make you agree your female should be spayed then I have no idea how your mind works.

All our cats come with 4 weeks free Petplan cat insurance and therefore have been health checked by our vets.
Vet records will be provided to new owners.
Every cat has its own back story and you will be told its history as much as we know it. Nothing is made up, it's available, warts and all.
We currently ask that people donate a minimum £150 for all our adoptions. This goes towards some of the costs we have incurred in providing the basics for each cat. All cats inevitably cost us much more than this basic amount. With huge rising vet costs this figure can also change over time.
A non-smoking home is preferred 🚭 (cats can get cancer from smoking too).
In the current economic crisis, we ask people to make sure they can afford a cat and will be able to manage ongoing expenses and vet bills AND have provision for any emergency care etc. Please think very carefully and ask yourself if you can really afford to take on a luxury such as a pet at this time. They are a long term commitment. A common reason for people giving up their pets is lack of money.
We ask people look at the age of the cat and that the human should preferably outlive the cat. There is nothing more distressing than an animal having to be rehomed after it has been settled for years with its owners. A cat can live 15-20 years and maybe longer. A common reason for people giving up their cats is owners dying or going into a care home. If you are nearing retirement age then be sensible and don’t ask for a kitten.
If you are interested in meeting any of our cats then as they are ALL in foster care in private homes, it is by appointment only. WE DO NOT HAVE A CATTERY.
You will need to read an information sheet and complete a questionnaire before being allowed to visit.
This saves us time asking many questions as they are all on the questionnaire.
Use the contact us section on this website us to ask for those documents.
Should a visit be successful, we will ALWAYS deliver the cat to its new home to ensure we do a home check.
We ask adopters to keep in regular contact with the rescue for the lifetime of the cat. We have a fantastic support network of people in a private Facebook group and are there for help and advice at all times.
We give you a 100% guarantee that the cat can always be returned if an adoption does not work out but this should not be a sole reason for adopting the cat, we would hope people expect to have the cat for life.
Finally we get a lot of time wasters asking about cats then when we engage with them they ghost us. Please have the common courtesy of replying to our messages even if its to say you are not interested.
